Roommates / Shares / Homestays Apartment / Condo Description
Hi, I need a roommate to share my Yaletown apartment. My current roommate is fantastic but is sadly moving to London in September to start his Masters. The Apartment: 12th floor 1200+sqft in "city crest". Building built in 1995, my apartment renovated entirely in 2006. The floorplan is one of the best I've ever seen - we have 3 sides of the building, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing West, North, and East. It's almost like two corner suites combined. 2bed + 2bath + den. The location is amazing, truly in the heart of yaletown. The beach, seawall, and Coopers park are all within 2 minutes, Choices market is directly across the street. All the restaurants and shops of yaletown are equally close. I own the apartment and with that comes a pride of ownership that I think you can see - I try to keep it very clean and keep everything in top condition. The house has all the amenities - in-suite washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc... Me: I'm a 25yr old guy finishing a second degree in Computer Science and Commerce at UBC (I also have a BA in English/Anthropology). I work full time in the summer and part-time during the year at a Calgary-based investment bank. I take both my school and work pretty seriously and so will be quite busy from September-May. That said, I like to find time for enjoyment and would say I'm a pretty positive and happy guy. I also have a dog that I love to bits and has been in the apartment for a year - she's an adorable and very friendly 11 year old 40 pound chow chow. Very light shedding and very low impact in the apartment, she sleeps most of the day (and in my room) :). The Deal: I'm looking for someone to live with until at least May 2009. You'd be able to move in on Sept 15th. You would have a bedroom with windows facing east and north as well as your own bathroom. The rent is $1100 a month plus half of the monthly utility bills (that's electricity and internet. I don't watch tv, but you're welcome to get cable if you'd like it.) The Process: If you think this might work out for you, please email me or give me a shout at the info below. I'm in Calgary for the next week, but my current roommate may be able to show you the apartment before then. I obviously want to meet all interested parties before making a decision and will contact you when I get back to Vancouver so we can meet up. Thanks for the interest!
